NOTHING IS PERMANENT!

Amidst the COVID 19 pandemic, that shook the mankind in a manner seldom seen or imagined, we could closely connect to the reality of life, i.e. Nothing is Permanent!

The Human kind was racing hastily towards achieving a hypothetical goal of succeeding upon captivating nature and it’s resources for its own well being as much as it can be. But my dear fellow humans, it’s high time we realise and accept that “Nature has its own mysterious ways to Create, Sustain and Destroy”. Humans are just pawns on the board and not the kings!

The pandemic put an emergency break into the fast-paced lives of all human beings across the globe. Just slowly after then, the wiser genre of the mankind started to realise what is actually important and what not!

Nobody wants to die alone inside quarantine walls and thereafter being fed upon by the birds of prey; while the pandemic showed us all, how many of us did! None of us wants to stay away from our loved ones with a thought that we might never see them back except on video calls (Thanks to the cheap CHINESE smartphones and apps!). None of us is INDEPENDENT! We are all dependent on each other in some manner or the other. You might be the richest person on earth, the only difference it makes is you’d be privileged enough to get quarantined in a room costlier than the ones who were yet walking lone on roads waiting for a “SONU SOOD” to come to their rescue!

They still would reach their hatched houses and get a 6 ft place to lie down, while the billionaire still might have to wait for an elite ward in the 5 star hospital!(until someone else bids adieu to this fallacious world).Remember, “Nothing is Permanent.”

This reality existed and has been preached atleast since the “Dwaapar Yug” as mentioned in The Hindu Mythology. The world renowned Epic “The Bhagavad Geeta” endorses the same in its verses.

So even after thousands of years, we have yet not been able to accept the facts and continue living in myths of abundance of money instead of contentment, abundance of material instead of happiness, abundance of outer prominence instead of inner self-esteem, abundance of supplements instead of good health, abundance of ego instead of love.

This pandemic has unprecedentedly taken many lives! Many families have lost young sons and daughters, some others lost their only earning member, a few others lost their only support in life leaving back nothing but tear filled eyes and shock impaired hearts!

Myself having lost few very close family members just recently, can empathize with the fact how difficult it is to accept that a life that we endeared has been lost forever. But yes, that’s THE ULTIMATE TRUTH!

We just need to ACCEPT this and start moderating our ways of living accordingly. We need to start seizing each moment in a manner that the next moment itself strives to get spent with us.

Call back the people whom you hated and stopped talking to just because they didn’t send you a wedding invite! Apologize to the ones whom you just didn’t because of an unnecessary ego! Love the ones who some day hurt you with their unkind words but in your heart you know, they didn’t mean it! Extend thanks to all those whom you have missed being grateful for their kind deeds and words! Extend a helping hand to a fellow human, who can rebound with your little effort! Appreciate someone whom you feel should have been acknowledged long back but you didn’t because you envied!Give back to nature in some manner, what you took from her for fulfilling your desires!Be grateful if you have food, clothing and shelter as the luxuries you own are the necessities not available with many out there!Follow passions that you procrastinated just because of lethargy!

But please remember to do all the above NOW and TODAY! There may be no tomorrow, neither for regrets nor repents. Neither the good nor the bad times last forever. So rather than spending inner energy on regrets, repents, stress and grudges, spend it on how all the distress could be converted into cheerfulness. Despite all odds, there is still a candle that lights the house of rich and poor equally. Try be that candle.

Realise the value of people and things around you before they leave you forever. Refrain from taking Nature and People for granted because…“Nothing is Permanent”.

Just 3 days back when I put up a PORT OUT request from my current network connection to another one, in a mere duration of 8 hours, I got 24 calls from different customer care representatives seeking reason and requesting to stay back! Whereas, I was continuously registering grievances on the issues being faced for almost 3 months being patient enough! In that 3 month duration, I got only 2 calls assuring me about immediate resolution.

It was then they should have acted more fiercely, than when I decided to finally leave! A simple yet deep example of how we humans and our civilization function.

Let’s reverse the ideology and plan for today before we plan for future. Future is a myth, what’s true is just NOW!

Don’t grumble or complain over small things, it’s really not worth it! Remember the common saying “This too shall pass”. And that hold goods for joys and sorrows both. We can’t survive with the sunlight alone, night has to come too!

Let’s not be afraid of death since that’s THE ULTIMATE TRUTH of life! We should rather be afraid of dying while we are actually living! Plan to live in a manner that you keep living in hundreds of hearts and minds for years to come even after you die. Live as if you were to inspire others to live even after you die! Even those memories are not permanant, they too are short lived, will get erased after a few generations.

Just to pose an example: Do you still have the memories of your great great grand parents alive may be in form of stories or anecdotes? Or simply do you even know their names? (Unless they were out of those special few extraordinary humans, the ones whom we read about in our school books). Most of you don’t! Out of sight, Out of mind!

So before you go out of sight, do something to live in minds!

Go Live Before You Die! Who knows, you might be read about in school books too and stay alive for generations to come…

But also remember, even books have revised editions…

NOTHING IS PERMANENT!

I just wish I get to know I am about to die, just a few moments before I die, so that I get ample time to click a selfie with the best of my smile and bid adieu saying “No goodbyes! Just that henceforth, I would love to smile and live in your memories forever…” And upload this on my whatsapp or facebook’s last ever status😇

I know that status would also last just for 24 hours!😂

Hence Proved! NOTHING IS PERMANENT!

Live😊 Love💖 Laugh😁

  1. In the initial stages of the pandemic, it appeared to me that nature would be able to teach mankind to be humble. But, now that hope has evaporated. Things are back to square one.
    I slightly differ.
There is one thing that is permanent.
It is called ” CHANGE” 😂
