Good Day Readers!
Hope all of you and families are doing great!
Going through the caption, did you just go back to the geometry class where we were supposed to solve some numericals on locus of various shapes or points? I am sure you did (for those who were mathematics lovers at school!). But today, this isn’t at all about the locus of a shape or a point, it isn’t about solving a numerical equation or a mathematical problem, it is about the locus of your life and solutions to real life problems!
In our life, we all face situations good or bad, happy or sad, smooth or hard; but many of these might be as simple as a single digit summation while others might need some theorems and formulae to resolve.
Just for eg. If your car engine breaks down midway while you are driving to reach for an important interview, some of you might get furious and start cursing God or blaming your luck for the same and shout out “ Why does it happen on the wrong time?” “Why Me?” “It’s always bad luck for me”. “That isn’t a good omen”. Or may be some may even start hitting and stomping on the car and the tyre with their feet as if it would turn things for better 😊Some might even want to sue the car company on this account 😄
This was one kind. The other kind would be those who would panic and immediately call up a friend or a family member for help and handover the vehicle to them and part ways for the interview.
And then there’s the third kind. The ones who stay calm and in a composed manner, call for help of some people around to help push the car aside and then lock it and take public transport to the place of the interview and on the way give a call to the service centre for car pick up from the location it was left.
So, the point is, situation is the same for all three kinds of people, its just how they solve it that matters and reflects about their personality.

This is just one exemplary situation. Situations keep coming and going every now and then. Some keep cribbing, some keep delegating while a few take the steering under their own control.
That’s the LOCUS being talked about here! Leading Optimizing Controlling Understanding and Steering. Most of the life’s situations are transient and can be resolved if the LOCUS of control lies within us. While, if we try to locate the LOCUS of control outside us, somewhere in the luck, somewhere in others or in something supernatural, we are bound to spend more time and effort on attempting that question of the exam of life which could otherwise have been answered in brief.
We all have met people blaming, others or the situation or their luck or fate to have controlled almost all situations in their life. Rather many of us, might ourselves be like that. So with this write up of mine, I want to draw your kind attention towards establishing a LOCUS of control within yourself rather than locating it elsewhere.

Seldom do such situations occur, which are purely controlled by nature or some or any other external factor. Most of the situations are absolutely within our hands to resolve tactfully and more effectively.
But how to shift this locus of control? Is it about renovating one’s entire self? No friends, to your surprise, it’s NOT! It’s just as simple as the natural gap between two successive breaths that you need to increase a bit while attempting to tackle an unlikely, tricky situation.
Many of us would have mentors in our life, a fast friend, or a close family member whom we look upto in any such unprecedented situation. But those mentors would only boost our confidence of being able to resolve any situation. Ultimately, it’s you in the center and rest all factors creating an electromagnetic field around you trying to deflect you towards one or the other direction. It’s the locus of control within you, that’ll decide the fate. (Not the FATE that’ll decide where you’d deflect).
So, whenever such a flaky situation, the very first thought we generally have in mind is “Ab kya hoga? “ (What will happen now?) without realizing that the things will not HAPPEN! Somebody will have to MAKE THEM HAPPEN! So instead of thinking this, we should try and ask ourselves “What BEST SHOULD I do now?” OR “What BEST CAN I do now?”

Turn the “Wheel of Fortune” to the segment marked with “I CAN” and you’ll find all segments had “ I CAN” written on them.
I’d like to share an incident with you all. In my college days, I once fell of the stairs extremely badly and got hurt severely in my back. I had a friend along who accompanied me back to my hostel and thereafter family and friends took care as it was a severe injury. It continues to hurt me at times even after years (which is less of a botheration to me though).
But at that time, what I had in mind was, I fell due to getting stuck in the uprooted aluminium strip at the stairs’ edge and that needs to be mended to prevent someone else from falling again. I simply had no thought of blaming, who broke that strip, why isn’t that fixed by the department, my bad luck etc. etc. I was only concerned to make sure that the strip gets mended in time. And it did!
Had I focused on who did what and why it was like that, I would have lost getting the thing mended until atleast one more such incident recurred.
Small things play big roles. So does the LOCUS of control of our actions and reactions in any or rather every situation. And situations do not always mean some bad situation, they might be good ones too.
How good you keep the good ones and how good you turn the bad ones is totally dependent on YOU!
There may be lifelines to ease out your probability of resolution “Phone-a-friend”, “Audience Poll”, “50-50” or “Expert Opinions” but the ultimate buzzer is in your hands.
You are INCHARGE of your opinions, actions and reactions, no other person, situation or factor would turn it better for you (though some might contribute).
So, it’s time we all take charge of the situations around us and stop playing the fault-finding games as we may never be able to cross all levels and win it.
Be your own SUPERHERO, and a biopic awaits! You can surely share your experiences of the “locus shifts” underneath for me to mention in my future blogs.
Still if you feel something’s out of control, keep this blog of mine handy and read the last line before the valediction.
JUST BREATHE DEEP, REWIND AND RETHINK UNTIL THE LOCUS OF CONTROL SHIFTS IN YOU!

Shru!
We really need to adapt this. Me personally. Better done after reading. Very insightful 👍🏻👏🏻
